![]() On November 12, Chapter One gallery presents ‘Our Ends’, a group show featuring fine art, illustration, graphic design, and photography from a selection of creative talents currently living and working in London. Reiterating Chapter One’s dedication to showcasing diverse and independent art, 'Our Ends' includes original artwork from painter Russell Maurice, graffiti art legend Petro, photographer James Pearson Howes, and illustrator Jiro Bevis, as well as fine art and graphic design. Launched last month as a collaborative venture between ‘Mysterious’ Al Herring, Super Super’s Luc Le Corre, promoter Adam Tiger, and curator Tim Head, the diverse art backgrounds of all four directors are reflected in the gallery’s manifesto to showcase both established and up-and-coming artists operating at the fringes of the contemporary art industry. With a roster of artists that includes globally recognised names such as Holland’s psychedelic visionary Merijn Hos, contemporary grotesque obsessive Mudwig Dans, and rising star of the outsider art movement, Stefan Marx, Chapter One is definitely an independent gallery to keep an eye on. As well as selling original artworks, Chapter One stocks a fine selection of art and design ‘zines and periodicals from around the world. With some very limited runs it pays to visit on a regular basis to check out what’s new in store on any given day though. If you can’t make it down in person, see what’s available via the online store. 'Our Ends' will run from Thursday, November 12 until Friday, November 27. Chapter One: 33 Marshall Street, London, W1F 7ET, 020 7287 7687, Open: Mon-Sat 10:00-19:00, Sun 12:00-16:00, Tube: Oxford Circus www.chapteronegallery.com |
