![]() UK graffiti artist Sickboy is to present a blink-and-you’ll miss-it solo exhibition for one-night only at the Rag Factory in east London on Wednesday, December 16. The special one-off extravaganza, lasting just three hours, will feature a collection of new limited edition work and site-specific installations, recreating the lysergic symbolism and vivid typography that underpins much of Sickboy’s work. Unravelling the relationship between the artist’s imaginatively-detailed artworks and his signature bold and colourful handstyle, Logopop will combine graffiti, installation art and digital technology in what promises to be a dynamic and surprising show. Sickboy says: “Logopops are my visual bullet to the mind. They sidestep the layered meanings within my art and simplify the message into something tangible and understandable at the glance of an eye.” The pinnacle of a year’s work since his hugely successful debut solo show, Stay Free in December ’08, Logopop is a welcome snapshot of where Sickboy is currently at right now, and a nice teaser prior to his second major solo show in spring 2010.
